“Capt. Kirk, Rosie, and Chandler made our weekend! We did both the 1/2 day and shark fishing trips. Had lots of luck (actually it was the Capt.’s knowledge and relationships with other fishermen that allowed us to find the right “spots”. Capt. was incredibly knowledgable, always pointing out places of significance, and even turning around so that we could get a better look at the Shackleford ponies. He (and the mates) were patient and fun with our three kids. I’ve never seen them so excited, but am afraid they are going to start saving for their own boat! My mother, who has had multiple back surgeries, accompanied us on one excursion and the Capt. purposefully took a different route so as not to jar her too much. I cannot speak highly enough about the experience and crew. Looking forward to our next adventure with them!”

“Six of us went fishing including our two children (9 and 13) and our parents. Was a great experience for all. Boat was plenty big for us and it was nice to have the boat all to ourselves. Fish weren’t biting very much but Captain Kirk was working hard to find some for the kids. He and Chandler were both great. Kids ended up catching about 1/2 dozen. We also saw lots of dolphins while we were out, and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. Would absolutely do it again. Everyone had a great time.”

“Captain Kirk and his mate Rosie were awesome ! Great size boat for the 4 of us and the crew. Didn’t expect to catch so many fishes and sharks ! Caught 4 sharks and 7 fishes, of course we put the shark back. Captain Kirk is a very knowledgeable fisherman. He knew his history behind many landmarks and knew just where to take us to get some biting action! We enjoyed ourselves very much and would recommend them to our friends and definitely would come back.”

“We had an awesome time with Captain Mike and Kirk. My boys, ages 9 and 13 really enjoyed the morning. We caught Spanish mackerel for dinner and even managed to snag a 50 lb. black tipped shark! The boat was plenty big with enough cover to take a break from the sun. It comfortably fit the 4 of us and the 2 crew. Having never done this sort of thing before, I was pleasantly surprised at what a great morning we had. Yes, the early wake up is tough on vacation but it was well worth it and there was still time for a nap on the beach that afternoon.”

“I Went fishing with my wife, daughter (11y.o.), son (8y.o.), and a friend. I was concerned because it was a Shark trip. I thought yeah right, we are not going to see any sharks. Low and behold we hooked shark after shark. At times having more than one shark on at a time. Everyone caught a shark except my daughter but that was her choice. Captain Kirk set her up with a bottom rig and in less than 5 minutes she caught a hog fish. Even though went for shark it made my day to him go out of his way to think about her. “Our family of five had a fantastic experience fishing with Lookout Adventures! Both captain Mike and mate Kurt had great personalities and were extremely professional. The boat and gear was perfect for the personal attention we were looking for. The boat comfortably holds six plus crew. We were on the fish instantly and never had a down moment. These guys knew exactly where the hot spots were, let everyone get involved in the fishing (even including our 4 yr. old), and kept us safe, laughing and learning. Just returned from summer vacation in North Carolina. We took three adults and three 8 year old boys out with Lookout Adventures and had a great time. John and Curt were great with the kids and kept them involved the whole time. Trolling for fish was slow that day, so they switched gears to shark fishing which the boys loved. As a bonus, we caught a hammerhead shark right before we went in. It was a great time. Thanks to Lookout Adventures for making it a great trip.
